We have forced oil which is not allowed by our loan we received on our new house which is 200 years old. The house is currently 1,300 square feet. Instead of switching to gas, we were interested in solar power. How to I begin the research on this and where to buy?
Also how $$ is doing something like this? We don’t know anyone with solar power so any comments or suggestions would be great.

I’d like to build a solar panel to power my air conditioner?
Can someone point me in the right direction to build a solar power system that can power my air conditioner for the summer? I live in a 700 square foot apartment. Any idea on the cost to build something like this? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think it is a great idea and would love for this company to get these panels. I am the sole person in charge of retrieving info though, and want to make a convincing argument. The owner wants a realistic number of how much it would cost to go solar powered. Also, we are located north of Chicago if that makes a difference. Any info would be appreciated!

I wonder why scientists are so stupid and blind! lol, apparently there next solar storm in 2013, which will destroy our satellites, also why not move back to the satellites during a couple of weeks during the solar storms that are not damaged? is better than being destroyed forever, and also because they say the storm will blow or processors because so many energy, so forget about using wind and solar power, solar energy, because there is much in the next? and energy water, such as the turbine. What kind of solar power installation that I need to just a quarter of the energy needs?
I live in the basement of a house and my fourth career in solar energy. I have two strips that run a TV and DVD player, laptop, printer and two external hard drives and the need to use a pair of floor lamps in the room. What kind of solar panels that I need and what the estimate of the costs?
Let me say, the cost would be of great value. It seems that you need at least 750 watts. if you want to use things also electricity during the night, the system could provide much power to the equipment, and more to charge the batteries. That is a total of 1500 watts and needs 10 to 15 panels, plus a drive, trails panels, breakers and fuses the two cables. We expect about $ 10,000 or more.

Thinking of buying a cabin that’s “off grid.” Anyone have experience with solar power living?
I’m specifically wondering what kind of maintenance is involved with solar systems that power off grid homes. We would only be at the cabin a few days a month most of the time…except during long vacations. Is it even possible to maintain a total-home solar system in this kind of situation?
