How much does it cost to install a solar-powered pool heater for an indoor school pool?

I was just wondering if there are companies out there who install solar powered water heaters for average sized pools (deep end 8ft)? If so, how much does it usually cost? This is for my school.

To achieve total solar heating, the panel square footage must equal 50% of your pool’s square footage (length x width). The panels are usually 2×20, 2×12, or 2×10. So really it would depend on the square footage of your pool and what size panels you plan to use. Try the website below that sells pool heaters. There is more info there.

How does the Solar Water Heater Tax Credit work?

If someone doesn’t make enough to pay into the tax system, how will the 30% tax credit work? As a refund?
This question is based on something I overheard and you can always learn something new about the IRS and how various deductions work. The company was listing the amount on the spreadsheet as money you would save from the purchase price from the unit but that must be false in any scenario.

Form 5695, Residential Energy Credits, from LAST year is in the link below. The new one should be up on that site eventually. But you can get an idea of how it works. Just ignore the part about the cap of $500 or $2000.

As you’ve guessed, the tax credit is not refundable – you won’t get paid if you don’t owe that much tax.

If you’re that poor, some cities like San Francisco or Berkeley (I think) may have programs to help you make your home more energy efficient, in some cases, even subsidizing a solar array.

Solar Power Installation

solar power installation
What is the most efficient way of powering your home? Do you use solar power, wind turbine, coal?

fire, gas, electric, wood fire, ice blocks and a fan? What works for you, how green is it and why it works for you? Anyone have any additional costs associated with installing or using these options? Any installation professional, or self? What would you say are pros and cons to alternative power sources? What do you think is the cheapest, easiest way to power a home? Would like to hear from folks who have added alternative power sources to their homes and hear your experiences.

I have just answered a Q. similar to this,My G/Fs small holding has no mains, water, sewage, gas or electricity we have a genny that runs the washing machine, T.V & charges a large battery pack we have bottled gas for cooking & heating filtered rain water for showering & washing clothes, a composting toilet, all waste water is collected to water the veggys, when we’ve finished our waste ‘gulper’ we should be able to produce our own gas, the genny runs on bio fuel which we produce & the back up petrol genny runs on methenol, which we also produce, we dont pay any utility bills, how cheap do you want to run? you can only watch T.V for a couple of hours a night, but we’ve got all mod cons!

Solar Home Power

solar home power

We all know that the cost for our home energy bill is keep on rising. An alternative is to generate your own power is by building home solar powered generator and reduce or even eliminate the electrical company from your life forever. Imagine running your electrical appliances without worrying about paying any bills.

By installing your own home solar electricity you will be able to eliminate your power bills by generating your own free power while reducing your carbon footprint at the same time.

After the initial installation you can use your home solar powered generator electricity for free, as much as you like, all day without worrying about what it is going to cost. A solar power generator uses solar energy to convert it into electrical energy in order to run the household appliances.

Many families have taken the initiative to learn how to set up their own residential solar systems for a fraction of the cost of a professional installation. The aim of home owners is to construct a solar power system that will handle the total peak load demand of all the home appliances. Generating solar electricity using your own renewable energy home solar power system fits the circumstances and values of some home owners.

The installation cost is a one-time cost. If you have looked into a professional solar installation, you know that it can cost you tens of thousands for a whole home conversion. However, the installation process itself can typically be completed in only a few days time, in many cases even less and in addition, if you build it yourself, the installation cost is only a fraction of what we have to pay the professional installer.

A consideration in every home solar electricity installation is to examine the amount of power you are actually using and see where you can reduce this as much as possible. The inverter is usually attached to the house itself, close to the main electrical box/meter to keep the installation as clean as possible.

If you are using solar powered generator that uses a battery to store solar electricity for later use, solar electricity is sent to a battery bank where it is stored until needed. The battery bank can then supply all the electricity for the home during the night.

Most solar photovoltaic experts do not recommend adding a backup battery system unless there is concern about a long utility outage or the residence is in a remote location. The second available solar panel system for supplying home solar electricity is a grid-tie with battery backup. I think a grid-tied system with battery backup would be best since in America at least the power company will send you a check if you produce more power than you use.

You will be amazed at how simple and easy the whole solar power system is to set up and proper solar power information guide will give great detail to explain where and how to source the materials and most important where you can pick up deep cycle batteries to use in your home solar power system sometimes for free or very cheap.

Some of the guides are very well written, with step by step instructions, illustrations, diagrams and videos. Quality instructions that are easy to follow are vital to find when trying to build your own solar panel. Some of these guides are better than others but you will find some that are very thorough and provide excellent instructions and diagrams. You can simply follow the step-by-step instructions available with the kit and create you very own homemade solar panels.

Getting home solar powered generator electricity is more affordable today than 10 years ago. The first thing to determine is how much power you will need from your home solar electricity system. With the right solar power information and step-by-step installation guide, anyone can build and install their own home solar electricity system.

Now there is an easy to follow guide that will show you exactly how to make solar panels for much cheaper than retail cost visit http://windturbineandsolarpanels.com.

Solar Photovoltaic Power

solar photovoltaic power

Due to many benefits and environment friendliness of solar energy, many people are now turning their attention to building solar power systems.

Here, we are going to focus on building solar power of the photovoltaic type and its various uses:

Building solar power system of the photovoltaic type involves connecting solar cells in such a way that they form a solar module of up to two to four feet width and four to six feet length. Some of these modules look similar to the old roof shingles. These interconnected solar modules form a PV solar system, also called a solar array.

This array is mounted on the roof of a building in such a way that it faces south at an angle. This is to ensure that the modules receive a maximum amount of sunlight. Another material that goes in building photovoltaic power system is the inverter. This inverter converts the electricity from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). Through this function, you will be able to use the power generated by this system to power standard electronic appliances such as computers. You can also add batteries as an emergency backup in the event of power outages or in a situation where the PV system is not connected to the utility power lines.

Uses of PV System:

You can put together the PV systems in every possible, conceivable form in order to use them in your home or commercial buildings. Furthermore, PV systems can be for outdoors, for security lighting in parking lots, gardens and bus shelters. They can also be used to operate all electrical systems such as lights, cooling systems and appliances. However, while using PV systems, you should ascertain that they are sized in accordance to your electricity needs and budget.

Building solar power systems of photovoltaic types are useful to light all types of appliances and also help to conserve energy.
